It looked like it was going to be the perfect storm. One system was moving up from the southeast and another was rolling down from the north and it looked like they were going to collide right over the outdoor wedding of Kelley and Ryan, but that was not to happen. WInds and waves have been known to take sudden turns in a different direction and that was to be the case this day. It turned out to be a glorious early fall day for two beautiful young people and their families to come together to celebrate a new union.

The wedding took place at Willow Pond Farmstead in Coats. After the beautiful wedding, dancing broke out in the barn, and Kelley and Ryan totally wowed the guests with their suprisingly fantastic skills.

Caroline
"Sweet Caroline, good times never seemed so good..." I'm sure Caroline has never had those lyrics sung to her (she said, ironically). But in this case they are just oh, so true. I've known Caroline since she was just a tiny little thing, although it has been off and on as she has lived the majority of her life in Europe, and she is one of the kindest, most genuine young ladies I know. Knowing how difficult it is to maneuver the challenges and differences of a new school and a new culture, and ever wanting to include and make others feel welcomed, she started an Ambassadors Club at her school to help new students acclimate to their new environment..
Caroline loves to read, and has been active in drama for years, especially since her years in Hungary, if I recall correctly. I would say she is outgoing, but not loud, kind and gentle, yet firm in her convictions. The kind of young lady you want your daughter to be friends with - and I have to gloat a bit here because she is a dear friend of my own daughter. :D
Next fall Caroline will be off to study Criminology and whichever university is fortunate to get her.

Meghan
Aaaand another young lady who has passed the high school mark and gone on to make an impact in the world beyond. This is Meghan and she is so photogenic that certain people were literally begging me to put her photos on the blog so they could see them :) I would be remiss to leave them hanging much longer, so here are a few -- better late than never, I hope. The friendly, talented, musical Meghan is off to study International Public Relations and Spanish and she's going to change her part of the world for the better, I'm sure. Melissa
Much belated, I just wanted to give a glimpse of a lovely young lady who is no longer a high school senior as she has already gone on to make her mark on the collegiate world. Melissa was tabbed an All-American athlete her senior year...won individual 4A NCHSAA State Championship in tennis, All Conference selection...All-State selection...team MVP...played for American Heritage state champion team. amd was named the Outstanding Senior Athlete for her high school in 2011. I know there's more to say about this young lady, also an honor roll member and member of the English Honor Society, but one of her virutes is humility, so good luck with trying to pull her accomplishments out of her.
